Document Management Issue - Invalid extension after Upd16

Hi All

We applied Update 15 and 16 to our Live APPS v9 environment this past weekend.

Our users have reported that when they attempt to attach a Document (in this case a PDF, but does the same for all) to a Customer Order (and possibly other records), they receive the following error:

This was not the case before applying the latest updates.

Checking the defined extensions, all looks fine:

 

Has anyone else seen this issue after applying the recent updates?

The issue is also in out Test instance, but we clearly missed this one from our testing!

This is caused by a bug fix meant to solve another bug. Very unfortunate, but it happens. This problem is fixed and there is a patch you could install (should be there in the next update). If you contact IFS support they should be able to help you get this fixed. Include the error message and include as detailed test plan as you can and they should find the bug easily using our internal knowledge search.

There might be a workaround as well, but I don’t remember it now. Also, as I remember it, the error is not really stopping, just very annoying.
