Disabled objects in LTU permission set

We created LTU permission set and send the export to IFS for generation of license key. We deployed the same to Production. In this permission set, we could see the windows Customer Order, Quick Order Flow Handling is granted [Refer picture “BeforeDeliveryDeployment”]. Later we sent a delivery to Production which contained customized files for the windows Customer Order, Quick Order Flow Handling. Due to this, the Cust forms can be seen in the permission set but they are not granted. [Refer picture “AfterDeliveryDeployment”].

Now the users are unable to access these two windows. Any suggestions on  how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @Mounika

I believe what is happening here is that permissions are exported from one environment to another.

You were exporting from a different environment than the production environment.

In the event that my statement above is true. Find a similar environment to your production environment before you import your new updated permission set and right click and select granted. This will show you the differences between the two environments.

You may also need to manually grant permissions to the objects.

I hope this help !

Thanks,

JL

Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA ,

We have a Test environment which we first refreshed with Production data. Then we took the export of permission set from this refreshed Test and sent to IFS for License key generation.

Now in the Production, to grant the LTU permission set to these new customized forms in the “Presentation Objects by Navigator”, the RMB options are disabled. How to handle this?

Hi @Mounika

for which department is this LTU licence? If it is for sales then there must be a bug.

You have to inform IFS to generate a new LTU permission set with all screens you need.

You can’t expand a LTU permission set by yourself.

Hello @Mounika

If you create a permission set from scratch , do you still have the same issue where the RCB option is not visible ?

Thanks,

JL

Hi @Yasas Kasthuriarachchi,

Could you please confirm that each time we customize a standard form, we have to get a new license key?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi all,

If a base form granted to a LTU permission set is customized then we need to add this customized form also to the permission set. Else, users granted to this permission set will not be able to access the form itself since the dictionary will now have the entry for the customized form and the application by default displays the customized form instead of the base form but it is not granted to the permission set.

The license team from IFS confirmed that whenever we do modifications to a LTU permission set, you need to send it for license generation again.

The below post contains the steps on modifying the LTU permission set.
