We’re upgrading from Apps9, where we use AD Sync to create IFS users authenticated through LDAP, to Apps 10, which doesn’t have that option. We are actively exploring the other authentication options (ADFS, Azure AD) as well as DB Authenticated. At this time, we have 200+ AD user accounts. Recreating these users as DB authenticated accounts is not an option.

Is there a way to change a user that was created from AD Sync to a DB authenticated account?

You should be able to change the Directory ID assigned to each user from the AD account value to be the same as the user’s Identity.  You will probably also need to set an Oracle password on each account, which could be done inside Oracle itself using your tool of choice or even the Oracle Users screen inside IFS.
