Connect Server UnauthorizedAccessException

Hello Community,

I changed the ifsconnect user password. I made the password change from the "change system user passwords" in the installer. I changed both the "oracle user password" and "instance configuration" from the installer.
But, connectserver is not working. I tried many ways; I delete instance, I create new instance. none of them was a solution. services were started using stop_all_server.cmd - start_all_server.cmd. once all services were uninstalled with uninstall_services.cmd and reinstalled.

Are You able to login to the database instance with new password? Is 0racle account unlocked?

Yes, I tried to login with users. I can login. And all IFS user status are OPEN.

Do you have any other IFS MWS instances installed on the same server which might be having a port conflict with PROD instance?

It’s bit strange that IFSCONNECT user account is not getting locked after certain amount of wrong password login attempts to the database if you’re using same default oracle profile for IFS users

Alternatively what will happen if you shutdown the windows service (connect) and start the connect server from CMD?

There is no other instance of IFS MWS. We only have one Example.

I tried running Connectserver again. I didn't get user password lock error. This also worries me. Yes, i think it's strange too.

I keep getting the same 401 error even though I uninstalled and reinstalled all services.

Hi @baris.halici,

Since you mentioned you used “change system user passwords” option in the installer, could you try using the reconfiguration option instead and then changing the password? Make sure to select the option to change the database password as well when you do.

The solution is very easy, it can be very hard to spot :)

We get connectserver1 401 error because ifsconnect user has inactive status in the application. The problem is solved by making the IFSCONNECT user status active. :)
