Currently, the item description in the standard invoice layout is displayed in English. The requirement is to display it in the local language instead

Language: German

English version

@Nethmi98 if you need the part description to appear in GBerman, you need to make sure you have translated your description to German.

Depedning on your scenario, you could add description translation in Part Master or Sales Part.

@Marcel.Ausan Thank you for the response. In my case, there are more than 10 languages. Does that mean I need to add a separate description translation for each part in all 10 languages?

@Nethmi98 depends on how many customer language your customer is using. Let’s say for example if your customer only deals with customers in Germany and the UK, then I’d only translate EN and DE.

If all languages are used - then you need to provide part description translations for all the languages.

@Marcel.Ausan I added a description translation in the sales part. But it’s not appearing in the report. Apart from adding the language, is there anything else I need to do?

In addition to what @Marcel.Ausan  has said, you might also want to potentially have a look as to whether this setting is enabled or not:

if it is disabled, you’d need to do it , then yeah doing the Language translations at Sales Part level as Marcel suggested should work as long as you print with the right locale.

However, if this is Enabled, you likely would need to register the translations at the Master Part level instead :)
