Currently in IEE, you are able to see the number of attachments at the bottom of the screen when viewing details of a Business Opportunity:

In Aurena, there is no number on the panel that indicates how many attachments are present, you have to click on the panel first then the total number of attachments will display:

Even in the Business Opportunities screen, you have to click on the paperclip once to display the number of attachments.

The goal is to prevent the user from having to click on an icon or panel just to show the number of attachments, so my questions are:

  1. In Business Opportunity - is there a way to show the number of attachments without having to click on the attachment panel similar to IEE?
  2. In Business Opportunities - is there a way to default the paperclip column to show the number of attachments?

Did you ever find a solution to this?  I was trying to find a way to do exactly the same thing in any view where attachments are included.

Don’t think there’s a way around that “by default”. Now, on the main screens, typically it will show you the number even without clicking the paperclick, like this:

That’s not available on the List views though (so like Business Opportunities), on those you have to actually click the paperclick to get the number to display.

You probably could do a custom field to retrieve the number of attachments and display it as a straight number in another column, but you’d have to do that on every entity where you need this behavior, so it’s not super practical :)

@tvance2 Unfortunately not, the only way to see the number in the list view is if we click the paperclip at least once.

However, @SimonTestard has a great suggestion on creating a column that will retrieve the number of attachments.

Thanks everyone!
