Hi,

We added new font IDAutomationMICR in IFS Report, it is working fine in our local environment. but when we installed font  on client environment which is on linux, it is shows required information in Arial in place of IDAutomationMICR font.

We copied on IDAutomationMICR.ttf file in <fndext home>\repository\server\reports\fonts folder and reconfigured the application server and userconfig.xml file is also modified.

When we are running report from IEE Application,  required information shows in Arial Font.

Hi @envkishon,

We copied on IDAutomationMICR.ttf file in <fndext home>\repository\server\reports\fonts folder and reconfigured the application server and userconfig.xml file is also modified.

Report fonts should go inside a folder named ‘ttf’ in the above mentioned directory. Furthermore, when doing the reconfiguration, did you make sure that “Report Fonts” check box was checked in the installer wizard’s “Database import and deploy” window? Alternatively, you can import the fonts from “Report Fonts” window in IEE as well.

Please refer to the “Include and use new fonts in runtime (Database)” section in following documentation for detailed info regarding this:

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/050_development/025_operational_reporting/050_layout_design/020_layout_design/070_fonts/default.htm

Hope this helps!

Hi Charith,

Thanks for quick response,  we did same thing in customer environment, it is not working. It is working fine in local servers.

Only one difference , local application servers are in windows and client application servers are in linux.

We also did Select font files from a folder and drag and drop in to Report Fonts in IEE in customer environment, that is also not working.

I want to know same windows font will work in linux or not ?

Hi,

Please check the following,

  1. The font needs to be in  <fndext home>\repository\server\reports\fonts\ttf  then only it will be imported and installer correctly in to the database.
  2. If you have Apps10 Aurena Client, login and go to “Report Font” page and verify if the font is there and installed.
  3. Open the layout from Report Designer Tool and check the font of the field. If the font is “Arial” then you need to either change the font of the field to “IDAutomationMICR” or make sure you have done a font substitution to replace “Arial” with “IDAutomationMICR” from Solution Manager. Note that if you make a font substitution to replace “Arial” with “IDAutomationMICR” then all reports will be affected and all reports will show the fields  in “IDAutomationMICR” font instead of “Arial”. So, if you only want to show this field in  “IDAutomationMICR” font then suggest you change the font of the field in the layout.

Hope this helps.
