Hi All,

Is there any documents to read about the future of IFS integrations and the support for Access providers (.Net Java) and basic authentication?

In the Idea wall discussion https://ideawall.ifsworld.com/ideas/5c5daba2b0114c0d53ca1e1a it was said that the Activities as well as Access Providers will be deprecated in future releases but not said when and how.

It’s better to have more information on this since the integrations we design today should be future proof with upgrades.

Hi,

There are no documents describing this just yet, but it is under way. IFS Academy will also offer trainings on this topic.

The Access Provider concept will be deprecated along with IFS Enterprise Explorer, which as you already know, will be replaced by IFS Aurena. Both client types as well as all Access Providers will continue to be supported for the entire IFS Applications 10 lifetime.

However, in the upcoming IFS product major release IFS Enterprise Explorer is no longer available as it has been completely replaced by IFS Aurena. In that upcoming release there are no Access Provider libraries available. In this release all Activities and Services have been replaced by RESTful OData APIs.
