Hi,

We have just upgraded our environment from 23R2 to 25R1 and when we print, we cannot see our local printers anymore. We only see our logical printers.

All looks ok on the Aurena agent side, anybody has experienced this problem too ?

Thanks and Regards,

Anne-Sophie

@OREamackenzie great … thanks for information. I’ve received same information today.

Hi team,
we have updated to 25R1SU3 too and we are facing this issue too, great to see the fix is coming with SU4.
As a workaround for the most used shared printers in warehouses or shop floor you can also define these printers in IFS and execute the print via IFS print agent, so the users can print to the printer directly from IFS

Sometimes it is not possible to hardcone specific printer to user/report. Of course there is also Report Rule feature but this option only fully support default report queue.

Hi @knepiosko ,
yes, we use it like that, when a user is printing the report he/she selects the printer from the list of logical printers or we use report rule to predefine the logical printer based on an attribute of the report.
I have not been actually trying to use report rules with other then default queue, but with the default one it works fine.

Hi,

We’re currently in Test environment with 25R1SU2.

Have you heard when a fix will be available?

Nilla

Hi,

I cannot find the fix in SU4 release notes. Has anybody been able to identify it ?

Thanks and Regards,

Anne-Sophie

@OREamackenzie

IFS planned version to deliver the fix with SU5. This is what we got in our support case. Have to wait one more month. 😥

Thank you all for tracking this one down! We’re tentatively looking at moving to 25R1 and this would’ve been a non-starter!

Hi,

We are this moment in production on 22R2 SU5 and at this moment in the fase of testing the 25R1 SU2 in one of our non-production environments. We will upgrade this test environment to SU4 to solve as much as possible. We found in the community the issue with the local printing environment in 25R1 and also found this with our initial tests. In first instance IFS would solve this in SU4, but unfortunetely later only confirmed to solve this in SU5.

We have tested and could use all the logical printers setup in the printserver. Will inventarise the users who used the local windows print-environment and for which reports. Our idea is to setup an additional logical printer per department, if really needed (for larger volumes).

The alternative for users who do “small quantity print” via the windows environment we have found to be the option to have the report printed and than do a re-print from the [Reporting > Report Archive] to print via the windows environment.
