Hi @ITAN
The below would be useful for you.
Hi @Dharshankumaar Mahendran ,
I saw topic that releated about project origin. But it doesn’t tell effect where is. When i change it on database, i don’t know still what happened.
Thank you for your interest.
Hi @ITAN,
I would strongly advise against changing this value in the database, as that will cause data integrity issues (and any problems resulting from this would likely be unsupported). Please note that if any data is processed after this is changed in the database, it is not going to be a simple matter of just changing it back.
The project origin defines whether the project is purely for financial follow-up, or if there is a corresponding (engineering) project that is executed in the Projects component.
What is the reason for wishing to change the value?
Kind regards,
Johan

Hi @Johan Lagerström ,
When we want to make transaction on that closed project, system gives error. We think if change project origin we can do it. Because Financial project allowed us without activity continue.
Hi @ITAN,
Thanks for the clarification. Provided I understand correctly, that would mean you get a discrepancy between the project in the Projects component compared to the General Ledger though (and there may also be other issues as an effect of this).
Based on your comment I take it you have already reopened/rolled back the financial project, and to make adjustments it is generally recommended to do them at source, so you should be able to instead also reopen the corresponding Project and related Activity temporarily while making the correction. Please note that the exact way you go about this could depend on your specific circumstances (especially if you capitalise your projects), and if uncertain it may be best to take some consultancy on this.
Kind regards,
Johan
