IRBM in Malaysia is going to impose an E-invoice mandate starting on the 1st of August, 2024. As per this new legal requirement, AR invoices must be transmitted to the government through a service provider, and IFS should be able to read the response files received from the government. Additionally, it is required to raise self-billed supplier invoices for certain transaction types, such as AP invoices from foreign suppliers.

Since Malaysian localization is supported in GET, we would like to know R&D's plans and preparations to handle this new legal requirement. Will this be considered for Apps10 GET? Is there any timeline for the implementation?

This mandate is crucial for IFS customers in Malaysia as non-compliance involves penalties. More details about this legal requirement can be found at IRBM's E-Invoice page.

Hi Sachin,

I am requesting this post to be moved to a more appropriate group other than Alliance.  This audience would not be able to answer this question in this group as it is not for Alliance.

Kind regards,

Phil

Hi,

For countries where IFS have a high demand from customers, we deliver localization capabilities to
support compliance. In these countries IFS continuously monitor and maintain legal changes and
aim to provide capabilities to support generic legal and business requirements in that country.

Malaysia is not one of these countries.

The current roadmap for IFS Cloud does not include plans to support the upcoming e-invoice mandate in Malaysia and there are no plans to support new legal requirements in the GET solution in Applications 10 for Malaysia.

In IFS Cloud and to some extend also in IFS Applications 10, we have incorporated and continued to enhance generic solutions to accommodate the legal requirements of various countries including variances of e-invoice models.

Please investigate whether the functionalities provided in IFS Cloud (and IFS Applications 10) cover the customers' requirements and can be used as a base for customizations to fulfill the customers’ requirements.

Best regards
