I am currently conducting tests for a Chinese customer and I want to check the Invoice Jinsui box on the customer order. I remember that there was a setting for this on the customer record, but I can no longer find it. My customer is using version 24R1.

Can you please help me?

Thank you.

Hi @audreyS ,

I hope you have enabled the Jinsui setup in the company level, if so Please check the below  step.

Customer setup

  • Navigate: Sales ► Customers → open the customer.
  • Invoice tab → Jinsui Invoice Information → enable Create Jinsui Invoice; fill any required Jinsui fields; save.

If this resolves your question, please mark it as the best answer. So that it will be helpful for other peers.

    Regards,

    Dulani.

Hi,

Have you done any Jinsui set up?

First would be to enable this on the company. Then you can enable for a given customer.

IFS Docs has a good document.

About Jinsui Invoicing

Description of process

The Jinsui invoicing process is used to assign an extra Jinsui invoice number to customer invoices. The assignment of the Jinsui invoice number is done by a separate government-supervised software called Jinsui System. For legal purposes, it is necessary that all tax related customer invoices in China must be assigned with a specific Jinsui invoice number.

The following three criteria have to be fulfilled for the invoice to be able to pass through the Jinsui Invoicing process:

  • The Customer Invoice Creation method has to be set to Chinese Jinsui Interface at the Company.
  • The Create Jinsui Invoice option has to be enabled at the Customer
  • The transaction currency of the invoice has to be identical to the accounting currency.

Once the above criteria have been fulfilled, it is important for the invoice amount to be less than or equal to the maximum invoice amount for JS customer invoices which has been defined at the Company Jinsui Invoice Information. While saving the invoice, it is important for the Jinsui invoice status to be set to JS Open, for the invoice to pass through the Jinsui invoicing process.

If all the above conditions have been satisfied, you can create Jinsui invoices for project transactions, i.e., the JS Enabled option will be automatically enabled. However, the user can choose whether to create a Jinsui invoice or a non-Jinsui invoice for Jinsui customers. The user cannot create a Jinsui invoice for a non-Jinsui customer.

To create a project invoice, all the transactions will be grouped according to whether the transactions are Jinsui enabled or not. Other than the conditions mentioned above, this condition will apply to batch invoicing as well.

In batch invoicing, even if the maximum Jinsui invoice amount has been exceeded, the invoicing process will continue by creating invoices for the other customers whose limit has not exceeded.

Hi  @Thomas Peterson

I have activated the setting, but I am getting this error message.
My company is in France with the accounting currency set to EURO, and if I understand correctly, by activating the Jinsui invoice, I cannot have currency differences?

This is not normal. What should I do?

I want to create a sales order for a Chinese customer with my company in Euro currency.

Hi,

My experience with Jinsui, has been based on a company in China selling goods.  I’ve had clients outside China selling goods into China, I don’t recall them needing Jinsui invoice processing.

hi @Thomas Peterson

This would mean that if my company is in France and I want to deliver to a customer in China, I am not required to use the invoice jinsui?

I don’t know France and any agreements / regulations between France and China. Your client would know this. Is your client stating they need Jinsui for that scenario?

I will contact my client to ask them.

Thank you for your help.
