How to adjust planned revenue?

Hello everyone

 

For a certain project, we have planned revenue of 293,767.59 in the Project Navigator. How can the planned revenue amount changed? Can it be changed by changing the amounts in the customer order?  Would appreciate any guidance on this.

Yes, you are correct. Planned Revenue is proportional to the to the value of link customer order lines.

Please revise Customer Order line Price, system would automatically update the Planned Revenue value.

Hello ​@Abdul  .  Does the customer order line have to be a certain status for the change to affect the planned revenue amount in the project navigator? And does anything else have to be done after changing the customer order line amount?

I changed one of the customer order line amounts then went back to project navigator, refreshed a couple of times, but there was no change in the planned revenue.

HI ​@andrei.borromeo, no, it’s not dependent on line status except Invoiced/Closed. Value in Price/Curr field directly updates the Planned Revenue on the Project.

Hi ​@Abdul . I have tested by changing the price/curr in one of the lines of the customer order but there was no effect on the planned revenue in Project navigator. Would you know why it isn’t updating?

Hi ​@andrei.borromeo,

I don't think that there is any specific setup that needs to be maintained, except posting control mapping at the company level, which would work universally for all projects.

Please check the Project Connection screen, whether the Cost/Revenue element is mapped against the Customer Order line.
