Are the Customer Aging Analysis Window and the Customer Ledger Age Analysis Order Report supposed to be in sync as it relates to the aging buckets?  Ours have different numbers in the buckets and I am not sure if that is by design or if we have a setting wrong in our system?

Hi,

I believe you are referring to 1) Aging information as it related to the credit and collection data and 2) the aged analysis report.

These will provide different results.   The credit and collections aged analysis includes 6 aging buckets that can be user defined as to what is the basis of the bucket as well as days in a given bucket. That’s an easy way to identify the data source of the given screen,

The credit and collections - buckets are definable what is, what it is based upon. One reason for difference. Second reason for difference is the credit and collections is based on a snapshot (moment in time). It’s intended for analysis. It cannot back date to month end (for example).  Timing wise, it’s not the best tool for matching a true open AR / aging.

The aged report is less configurable, however is designed to be run for nearly any date. For example, run today, and get results for January Moth end.

Different tools difference uses.

If you wish to see the balance history in detail, see the balance history functionality - It is very impressive. For example, today, create a balance history for end of January or even Mid-month.

You can then use that data as a data source for reports / analysis.

Best regards,

Thomas
