"Cancel Arrival/Receipt" button not showing for some users

Hi all, some of our users are reporting an issue where they can’t see the “Cancel Arrival/Receipt” button in the Procurement > Receipts > Receipt screen, even though:

  • They have Full permissions to the ReceiptsHandling projection
  • The receipts they’re trying to cancel, can be cancelled by other users (i.e. parts have been received, nothing’s been scrapped etc).

The button isn’t visible-but-disabled; it’s not shown at all.

Are there any likely reasons for this?

For anyone else who lands here, the fix for us was:

  • Adding the user to an Authority Class;
  • Updating permissions in the Entity Action Grants for the ReceiptHandling projection, so that `CancelReceipt` Action of the ReceiptInfo Entity is granted (I think - it’s been a while!)

[Also worth noting that Receipts which have been fully invoiced will never show this button.]
