Hi experts,

Can you let let me know in which time zone do the timestamps in the server logs for FSM cloud environments represent? Is it a common time zone across all FSM cloud environments or is it specific to customer time zone?

Cheers,

Buddhima

Hi @buddhima

If I am not mistaken this is UTC.

Cheers!

Hi @buddhima

In IFS managed cloud environments, the data on the database server is stored in UTC timezone. This is  converted into your local timezone based on your PC time zone setting.

Thanks for the response @SAMLK ! Can you please elaborate on “This is converted into your local timezone based on your PC time zone setting”? Does that mean when I extract the server logs from my machine, it is converted to my local time?

Regards,

Buddhima

Hi @buddhima the server log does log the information in the application server time zone which should be UTC in your case. What I meant was the time related functions in the FSM ui such as date time fields, time only fields etc. (ui perspective) will be automatically converted into your local time zone even though the persisted values are in UTC in the DB.
