In Cloud I can define a Calendar with Exceptions for public Holidays.
This can be used to define that a Customer does not get service on a public Holiday.

But when I am using Shift Patterns to define resource working time, is there a way to define public holidays?
Even when there is a Calendar defined for the resource as well as the Shift Pattern, the calendar and Calendar exceptions do not appear to have any impact on the Resource Availability generated from the Shift Patterns for the Resource.

Note: this is using Shift Patters not HCM based shifts

I know the answer comes a bit late 😁, but if someone comes across this question: 25R1 introduced

Calendar Exceptions (25R1)

To ensure that generated shifts account for holidays and other similar exceptions without the need to modify individual shifts, calendar exceptions can be utilized. These are maintained at Resource Management>Resource Shift Patterns>Resource Shift Pattern Template Exception.

If Is Day Off is set to Yes, no shifts will be generated for that day. Otherwise, the specified Resource Shift Type replaces the original shift type, this can be helpful if a full-day shift should be reduced to a morning shift.

The Exception can then be linked to individual Resource Shift Pattern Templates that share the same holidays. Templates are maintained at Resource Management>Resource Shift Patterns>Resource Shift Pattern Template.
