Unable to change PM Action to Active status as Time Zone is not recognized
I’m trying to set a PM Action status for a Serial Object as Active, but doing so generates an error message:
Error message regarding Time Zones
but in the Service Object 360 I can see the location in which my object is installed
Confirmation of installation location
When I check the location it has a Time Zone assigned
Time zone for location
I can’t find anywhere else to change or create a Time Zone setting, I’m hoping that someone can point me towards where I need to go to correct whatever is causing this error

Hello @AsahiNick, can I please know the IFS Cloud version you are using?
/Pubudika
Hi Pubudika, the information you need is as below:
Hi @AsahiNick
The issue might be that Map Positions are not being created for the Location – Visit Address. As a result, the Time Zone under the Visit Address does not auto-populate. As a test, when I used another existing location that had visit address with map positions that is connected to object, which I then used on my PM Action, the mentioned error didn’t appear.
Let me know if that helped.
Best regards,
Raghav
Hi @AsahiNick,
The issue has already been reported and fixed starting from version 25R1. It was caused by a scenario where, when a contract exists, the Contract ID (Contract_ID) was mistakenly passed instead of the Site (Contract). As a result, the system attempted to return a date based on the Contract ID rather than the Site, which led to the issue. Is this the same situation you are in?
If yes, as a workaround, you can clear the line expiry date in the service contract line and then attempt to activate the PM action. This should allow you to proceed without any issues.
However, if you believe this needs to be addressed in the version you are currently using, please follow the support guidelines.
