Hi All,

I am generating Wo’s from my Service Contract through PM actions. But I noticed that trhe field ‘Contract Id’, ‘Line No’ and ‘Customer No’ are not defined when creating the WO from that Service Contract. That strikes me as odd since that info is easily obtained. Adding the info after creatin is also not possible - IFS will give an error that the Contract ID cannot be edited for WO generated from PM actions. So somewhere in the background, IFS knows the WO was generated from a PM Action/Service Contract ID - but it does not provide the info.

Is this a bug of an inconsistency from the application? It seems very strange and I can’t think of any good reason why this info should be missing.

Best Regards

Roel

Background info:

  1. Create Contract ID ‘3’
  1. Create PM plan for preventive maintenance for contract ID and generate WO ‘12’ from PM plan

  1. Check WO 12 - notice that Customer No, Contract ID and Line No are empty

@Timmermans Roel  I’ve encountered the same behaviour in 23R1 with one of my clients. I would also say this is a bug/inconsistency and should be reported to IFS.

My client at the time didn’t bother about that missing data and we didn’t move forwards in creating a support ticket with IFS.

Hi Alexander,

I think it is :-), thank you for providing that feedback. In that topic I only focused on the Customer ID. And now my focus was rather on the ‘Service Contract ID’.

I will take this up with the customer.

Best Regards

Roel

Hi All,

Just an FYI - we have submitted this issue as a ticket and current feedback is that this is indeed a Core Product Error and needs to be resolved in future Releases.

Best Regards

Roel
