Question

IFS Cloud Manipulate Dates

Forum|alt.badge.img+7

Hi,

I have a question regarding the standard IFS date fields.

By using the “Field description” option we can see how some date fields get there values.

Many of these date calculations are system created but I was wondering if there is a way to somehow manipulate these system created date calculations in IFS Cloud?

For example setting “Planned Ship Period” date field in the Customer Order Line to be calculated the way we would desire.

Technically, yes it can be changed. But it is through a modification to the core code which I wouldn’t recommend as there may be many other places the field / calculation is referenced and you wouldn’t know the impact until you hit a snag. Potentially, you can create a custom field to show a calculated date value, but you will have to work with some limitations.

@malik.sally Is there no other way of accomplishing this without modifying core code?

Could this be done via some sort of system settings or parameter change?

@DavidWiafe with my experience I don’t believe there are system settings to change how these date calculations work.
