How do I hide / remove Work Types from being used by Users in IEE?

We can limit using Permission Set Filters for MWO but how do we do this for back office users?

Thanks,

Lisa

@lisa.gilesAB I’m afraid there’s no control to hide the Work Types for the backoffice users. They’ll see all of them.

Thanks for responding @Marcel.Ausan  that is disappointing that there are no controls! I need to prevent them from using some old Work Types and despite multiple comms they still keep doing so!

Will have to try another approach.

Thanks,

Lisa

@lisa.gilesAB one idea is to have a Custom Field in Work Type definition - enabled / disabled. Then have a Custom Event that is trigerred whenever the Work Type in WO / WT gets updated and if the work type custom field says it’s disables, show an error message to the user.

But the user will still be able to see all the Work Types, just that they’ll get an error message when trying to save the WO with a ‘disabled’ work type.

Hi @Marcel.Ausan  that is great idea! I really like that as a concept and a way to alert the users on screen that they are using a Work Type that we have instructed them not to use!

Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate you taking the time :-)
