Hi Experts,

 

I’ve come across an issue where customer is having problems with Web client and Tech portal (It’s the only web client portal they use) and it is showing Http 500 error. Customer has FSM6U9 and they have implemented this on a new server for UAT testing.

We have confirmed that they have installed “dotnet-hosting-3.1.12-win.exe” and other runtimes. We have checked if there are any IIS errors on the Windows event viewer and there aren’t any. Problem is ,even when we try to access web client from IIS manager itself using browse application option, it still shows this Http 500 error which means localhost doesn’t work for any web client. However their smart client is working fine.

What are the possible causes for this ? What needs to be checked further ? Quick reply would be much appreciated.

Would you be able to add any details on the infrastructure setup here? What is the routing the web service takes? Is there anything additional put in place?

Can you please share if if are able to resolve the above mentioned issue.

As I am facing the same and no workarounds are working on this.

It is very late to post the answer, but this usually happens if we don’t install dotnet-hosting-6.0.xx-win explicitely.

We can even download the lastest dotnet hosting installer from microsoft’s website and install it prior to FSM installation on the Server.
