Hi,

Can someone please clarify when considering scheduling concentrations in FSM, What are bellow concepts referring to.

  • Duration of activity
  • Regions
  • Availability

This information will be useful to investigate an error reported on resource allocation.

Thanks

Hi Sashika,

Mainly there are more concepts considered when performing scheduling in FSM/PSO . Having the idea on each will help to get the clear idea on the logic behind.
- Duration of activity – This parameter to be considered to verify whether the Activity to be scheduled in a shift or during Overtime
- Regions - An activity in a region can only be scheduled to a resource who can work in that region. So checking this for allocate only the appropriate resource.
- Availability – Activity/Place may have restricted times to be performed. These can be defined for a particular activity or a place.

Apart from the captioned concepts bellow parameters are being considered when performing the scheduling.
SLA Periods , Skills ,Parts ,whether the resource is fixed or not , Resource preferences , Shift Time & Utilization , Max Travel to avoid long journeys , Non-working time etc.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Tharindu
