Hi Experts,

Following is a requirement from the customer as follows.

This is regarding the use of the FSM Mobile App for Android.

Currently, when logged into the App. Users can use the ‘back’ button of the android default UI to proceed back. They can do this until they are logged out.

If possible please advise me,is there any way we can disable to back button in the Android to go ‘back’ in the app and does not log out.

Thanks,
Heshala.

Hi @Heshala ,

Not quite sure whether you can change the behavior of the application to stop navigating backwards after the home screen only with configurations, you may need to override the application behavior with custom code.

Hi @Heshala

I believe it is a limitation due to using an external app (Android OS) to control FSM mobile app.

Cheers!

Hi

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread.

We are also experiencing this issue. Engineers are using the Android back button until it logs them out of FSM Mobile. The consequence of this is that the assigned/committed call that they were working on is unassigned from them which is causing all kinds of confusion and mayhem.

Would it be possible to have a small enhancement to Mobile which triggers on the close application event and simply asks “Are you sure? Yes/No”. Small change would make a big difference!

Thanks

Paul

Hi @ganners

You need to raise this in the idea zone if you have access to it.

But the question is, why tasks are unassigned? Logout should not cause this behaviour.

Cheers!

Hi Shneor

This is from the documentation.

How do I find the idea zone?

Paul

Never mind - I found it.

Hi @ganners

Why not use a value of 0?

Also, I cannot see this in the documentation. Which doc is it exactly?

Cheers!

Hi

Its the PSO documentation Scheduling Concepts Status Changes p17.

>Why not use a value of 0?

Because the model behaviour, when an engineer genuinely logs off unassign assigned calls, is what we expect as the behaviour. The aim here is to stop the accidental logoff!

Paul

Hi @ganners

I am lost here. How is ‘Scheduling Concepts Status Changes’  related to FSM Mobile?

Are you referring to the Cloud WO app? And not FSM Mobile?

Cheers!

😁

No we’re on premises. It’s PSO documentation.

@ganners

OK. Thanks for the input.

You cannot control this from a configuration side.

You might need to consider custom code or 3rd party applications like TASKER or IFTTT.

Cheers!

Hi Shneor

That is exactly why I thought a small change to the application (my original post on this thread and my ideas post) would solve this.

Thanks for chipping in

Paul

@ganners

No worries. However, don’t hold your breath. 🤐

Cheers!
