I am attempting to apply a screen search filter through the Lobby Element Designer. The condition I am using is <>CW%|PL%|PM%|EV%, however, this filter is not working as intended. I observe the same behavior when performing the search directly on the screen.

Interestingly, when I use a simpler condition such as <>CW%, the search works correctly.

In the Data Source Designer, we do have the option to retrieve results using the Query Builder. Could you please suggest what the possible workaround would be for achieving this type of filtering through the screen search itself?

Hi @TDCANJANA

I lost you a bit.

Can you please provide some screenshots to illustrate the issues?

Cheers!

Hi,

Please check the screenshots:

If I keep the search criteria of all four order types, the result is 1 CW hit (Image: 923.png)

But if I change the search criteria from all four order types to just 1 type, it works and doesn’t give any result: (Image: 195.png)

Hi @TDCANJANA

In my opinion, and according to my experience, this operator ‘<>’ is not supported in the Webclient.

To test this, add another record with an order ID that's not like something else. Then perform your search again for ‘<>CW%’, and you will get the same results.

You will need to find a workaround.

One option is to create a view and add it to the search pane.

The view will return a value, for example 1, if the condition meet X and 0 if the condition meet Y

Then you can search for 0 or 1

In high level (pseudo)

SELECT
CASE
WHEN CODE_NO IN ('X', 'Y', 'Z') THEN 1
WHEN CODE_NO IN ('X') THEN 0 ELSE 2
END AS RESULT
FROM
YOUR_TABLE
