FSM IQA in web client

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hello,

The IQA button does not appear on the web client. It seems like the functionality is limited to the Smart Client. I am using release 6 and update 23. There are a couple of FSM client scripts that hide the IQA button (REPAIRCENTER_HIDE_IQA and REQUEST_HIDE_BUTTONS).

Is there any chance of this functionality being made available in the web client going forward?

Thanks

Regards

Neville

The primary difference between survey and IQA is the ability to embed XML perform actions. The surveys must be combined with business rules to meet the requirements. Clients have shown interest in using IQA. However, the fact that it is not compatible with web client it is not worth pursuing it.

@Aaron.Sleight are there any plans to add this functionality to the web client in an upcoming release? It is required for an ongoing project in ESW. @gemma.garcia @michelnav

We are not planning on adding the IQA capabilities to the FSM 6 web client.  This decision was based on the level of effort to implement that vs value it is adding.  Here the effort far outweighed the value as there are very few, if any, customers utilizing the IQA capabilities.

Since there is such a large overlap in capabilities between IQA and surveys, my question would be are there unique business requirements here that can only be solved with IQA or would a solution involving some combination of surveys and business rules also work?
