Hi everyone,

I have an issue when I try to generate a request from an RSP, using ,,usage,, trigger type.
Although I have all the data set correctly, the status is ,,generable,,, recorded value > trigger value, I cannot generate a request. I get the error ,,Cannot Generate Request,,

Does anyone know what could be the problem?
I am using IFS 24R2

Thank you!

BR, Miruna

If you manually try to create a request for the same combination of service, object, and location, does it work? Is the service offered by the RSP’s service org?

Hi @Alexander Heinze,

Yes, if I try to create a new request with the same service object, location and service, it works. Yes, I have the service org connected to the my services.

Hi,

Since this is a combined schedule, when you complete the Request created for the calendar schedule occurrence, the usage schedule occurrence is updated based on the Recorded Value at the actual completion date of the last Request. Hence, you cannot generate another request for the usage schedule occurrence.

If you record another measurement that meets the next rigger value as per the interval for the usage trigger, you should be able to generate the next request.

Hi @PubudikaW,

Many thanks for the explanation. I added the next trigger value in measurements, I received an new line in RSP schedule tab….but i don t have the service and the object in the dropdwon of the scope..so i can t generate. This has to happen automatically...I don t want to add a scope manually.

Do you know why?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Miruna,

The scope may not be applicable for this program occurrence. How are the scopes defined?

Hi @PubudikaW,

The client wants to have multiple service scopes in a single RSP but with a different cycle pattern. So, if for example the first type of service has to be performed every 6 months and the second type of service has to be performed every 3 months, we need to have in the schedule one line every month so that all services are visible. So, I set program interval = 1 month.
In the given situation, we will have some lines without service scope in schedule tab, because we don't need a service in those months.

I noticed that the usage trigger takes its scope from the above line. Since in my case, the above line has no scope, it has nothing to take over, so it remains empty.

What do you think? In the described scenario, is it a good solution to have program interval =1 month?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Miruna M,

Assuming the 2 services overlap, what if you set the base program schedule to 3 months? Then you can use the Occurrence interval of the scope to set up the different recurrences. i.e.:

Calendar Trigger - Program Interval → 3 Months

Service 1 - Occurrence interval 2

Service 2 - Occurrence Interval 1

Then you can avoid the unnecessary empty program occurrences. Would this work?

Hi @PubudikaW,

Thanks for your suggestion. It would work in some scenarios.

I noticed the following behavior. If in an RSP we have a combined trigger and the calendar line doesn't have a service and an object added, the usage line won't either. I noticed that the usage line copies its service and object from the above calendar line.

The client wants to have an RSP for each object but he wants to be able to add all the services that need to be performed on that object in the same RSP. If let's say the maintenance service takes place every 5 months (occurrence interval = 5) and the battery service takes place every 2 months (occurrence interval = 2), we have to set the program as monthly so that all the lines we need in the schedule will appear.

Between the 2nd line and the 5th line we will have 2 empty lines so if a new usage line is generated, it will have nowhere to take its service if there is an empty calendar line above it, without service, without object. (like in my picture above). Hence, the request will not be generated.

Finally, I guess we have to set interval program to avoid empty lines in the schedule…

Thank you!

Regards,

Miruna
