Posting Proposal Instant Authorization - Preview Issue

Hello

We have a couple of users who when using the RMB to perform Instant Authorization in the Posting Proposals screen have overnight come across an issue with the Preview section of the screen.

These users who previously could see the Preview section now cannot and the document being authorised now opens up in full screen mode in Adobe.

IFS takes some time to open the document in full screen mode - the user then has to close the adobe screen, authorize the invoice(s) and then IFS once again re-opens the document in full screen mode.

This change in behavior is really slowing down the authorization process for our users.

Does anyone know why the Preview section of the screen is no longer available to the users and why all of a sudden these documents open up in Adobe full screen?

Thanks

AS

Hi @AlanS

Please check if you have enabled the Adobe PDF browser plug in for Internet Explorer

 Hi @AlanS
We have the same problem after Installing UPD18 for IFS10. For some users just updating adobe and restarting the computer helped, for many others did not. We can actually recreate the same problem for any user by disabling adobe PDF browser plugin as @Amila Samarasinghe suggested, but the people who have this problem have the browser plugin enabled. Disabling and re-enabling has no effect.

Most of the users with this problem had originally a different browser as default in windows however changing the default browser nor reinstalling older or newer adobe with updates had no effect in fixing the issue. Neither does checking adobe as default application which it already was. We have also a user who got this issue temporarily fixed by updating adobe but it has stopped working again.

Did you ever find a solution for this problem?

Hi,

We experience the same thing, in both upd5 and upd17.

Hi,
From our internal checkup we found that the cause seems to be related to references into older Adobe dll files that are no longer present in newer installations. Older computers simply had these and worked regardless. Installing older versions of adobe and then updating to newest version was working as a fix for some of the users.

However our problems got fully solved with a fix from UPD20, which we asked get in advance.
