Hi,

 

Would it be possible to make the system default a specific approval template based on the county that the creator is from?

Fx a manager from Germany is creating a document with a specific document class - could the system then put on automatically a specific approval template where the system reads that this user (the creator of the document) is from Germany and therefore it puts a certain approval template directly on the document - and then a different one if the creator of the document is e.g., from France?

There is no standard functionality for that, but you can probably solve it by using a clever custom event and event action. You can keep dummy document classes that in turn keeps the access templates for each country, then have the custom event apply that instead of, or also, to the document after it has been created.

The rest is left as an exercise to the reader :)
