Hi Experts

One of my customers wants to upload their documents (Drawings) to the Cloud Storage and they want to keep the folder structure as it is.
1) Is there way that we could keep the structure in Cloud Storage?
2) Would it be still visible in Cloud Document Folder Navigator after transferring to Storage?
3) Who’s responsible for creating folders & repositories in Cloud Storage if it’s IFS Cloud manage?

Thanks in advance.
Kushan

The database and data model supports keeping track of a CAD drawing file and folder structure but there is not user interface to make that convenient in IFS Cloud. You would need to builld something yourself, using the Consists Of / Where Use information in Document Revision.

This was possible in Apps 10 and earlier in IEE.

Thank a lot for clearing things up. @Mathias Dahl

Let’s take the below scenario
3) Who’s responsible for creating folders & repositories in Cloud Storage if it’s IFS Cloud manage?

If IFS Cloud manages a customer’s repositories, does the IFS team have access to that data? Additionally, can the IFS team create new repositories upon customer request and share the repository addresses with the customer?

I assume you mean using IFS Cloud in (managed) Cloud deployment.

Not sure what you mean with IFS team, but the managed services team has access to any part of a customer installation, I’m sure regulated by all sorts of policies.

There will NOT be any direct access to the repository backends, the customer needs to access their documents via IFS web client, or using APIs.

Thanks again. I meant by IFS managed services team here.

Let’s assume the customer wants to create a new document class for their engineering drawings and store it in a new repository within their cloud storage managed by the IFS Cloud Managed Services team. Is it possible to raise a ticket with IFS Unified Support to get this done, or is there an alternative way we could proceed to successfully obtain the repository address?”
