In an incident, there will be attachments added.

Imagine there are images attached as the attachments of an incident.

Is there a way we can get the link to the location where the images are being stored?

Hi, thanks for posting here.

What's the purpose here? Do you really want the link to the electronic file, or do you just want a link that someone can use to view the attached document more easily?

End users are not supposed to have access to the actual storage location (it would shortcut our document access), but an admin of course knows where it is.

Hi Mathias,

When we RMB on the incident and printing the incident we get a PDF output with the information of the incident.

What the customer request is to include the attachments into the report that we print.

If there are two images in the attachments, customer is requesting to add those two images at the end of the PDF report we print. So, to do the modification to the report layout, we hope to get the link to the location and add it in the report layout so that, once the report is previewed, it will be visible in the report. In order to try this out and test, we wonder how to get the path to the location where the images are stored.

Above is the purpose to raise this question..

That will not work. There is no link in the sense that you want to have. The files are of course stored somewhere (defined under EDM Basic / Repositories), but accessing them from a report, and dynamically, is not an easy thing.
