Document Approvals - Approved Step Deletion

As per my understanding there is no method in the system to delete an approved step from an approval process. Could you give little bit more context around the use case of deleting an already approved step? Generally I assume you would want to delete/update a pending approval step so curious to understand your scenario.

We activated approval process on Inventory Part, it’s use to check Financial data (Accounting Group) for example.

There was a mistake about “Inventory UoM” field (PKG instead of PCS), we deleted all linked data (material demand, MRP proposals, ...) and it’s a new part so there is no Inventory Transactions History.
 

We want to delete the Inventory Part and recreate it, to have the new “Inventory UoM” for the master part but there is no way to delete the Inventory Part with approved step.

​@ERPDMORENA I was able to delete a new inventory part record with an approved approval step in a 24.2.6 system. There was no need to delete the approved step.

When you attempt to delete the inventory part record, is an error message returned, and if so what does it state?

Maybe there is something else preventing the user from deleting the inventory part record?

I will try that after the RU installation.
