Changing Document Status

Normally, a document can't be Checked In after the status has been changed to Released. Therefore, the requirement is that, the status should not be able to be set to Released without a document being Checked In”. Can this be done from application?

I know this can be done through a custom event. But I want to know whether this can be setup through document basic data or may be through document default values screen? Please advise.

Hi @nimesh

There is no setting for controlling this. The one you found is for checking what the name suggests, if there is a file and it's empty. Then there is a "View File Required" setting on the document title that's related, but also not what you want. You need to live with your custom event until someone asks for what you want, and we develop it... πŸ™‚

Hi @Mathias Dahl Thank you for your advise. We will then stick to custom events since there is no standard control available. Thank you again!
