Hallo community!

I am trying to configure IFS CLOUD to trigger a message when a Sales Part is not available that has a substitute part set up that is available.

But so far, I have failed. What I found as the potential solution in the documentation is the following:

But when I go to the Inventory Part Asse Classes page, there is no such parameter:

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gunther

@lmwgmaurus Is everything setup correctly?

  • On the Site and the Customer, the flag for Allow Automatic Substitution of Parts is OFF.
  • The part is configured on its Part page with appropriate alternate part(s).
  • For each Inventory Part, the Availability Check is ON.
  • Expected Lead Time (>0) is entered on the Inventory Parts.
  • In the Alternate Sales Parts Base Data, at least one Substitute Sales Part is configured for the Sales Part.
  • Conditions are right for the Alternate Part logic to trigger.
    • You have insufficient inventory of the Sales Part and the Wanted Date is prior to the Expected LT of the Sales Part
    • You have sufficient inventory of the alternate part(s).

This is the Asset Class for my Inventory Parts for which the process works.

@matt.watters

Thank you for your reply. It confirmed my set up. And triggered further investigation on my end. The result is that the notifications around Availability Check and Substitute Part have been turned off in our environments. Thus, I did not get the expected notifications.
