Require the ability to re-execute a sales process step / SP actions on a business opportunity will save the business from creating many, linked opportunities.
Is it possible for the sales process to have revisioning ?
Hi
The purpose of the sales process is to guide the sales representative through the different stages of a business opportunity. It will tell the user which action to perform next during a stage. Each stage of the process should contain a number of actions. For each action you can define what the user should do. For example enter data in a specific field on the opportunity or create a Business Activity.
When the Business Opportunity is created you have to connect the sales process from LoV (only if a Sales Process is needed to be connected). Then the sales process needed to be taken along the stages /actions.
If your question is to check whether the sales process itself can be re-executed as and when needed without connecting to a business opportunity, that is not facilitated as far as I know. We cannot create revision to a sales process in the standard application. Sales Process should be connected to a business opportunity and use as a guide to proceed the Business Opportunity along its stages / actions.
Further, if your concern relates to avoid creating many new Business Opportunities, you can try out Revision in Opportunity Lines tab
Creating a new revision can be done at any time during the sales process. When creating an opportunity, a revision is created automatically, but any new revisions have to be created manually. Revisions are normally created to keep a history log of changes done to the business opportunity throughout its lifetime. For each Opportunity Lines, then you can create Business Activity or proceed as required
Notice that revising a business opportunity only affects the opportunity lines. The rest of the opportunity belongs to the opportunity header and will remain the same for all the revisions.
I hope this helps. Please elaborate more about your concern if you need more information.
