Recognize sales quotation upon order creation (via EDI)

Forum|alt.badge.img+6

In IFS a sales quotation is created for a customer. This customer approves the sales quotation by sending a customer order via EDI.

Is there a possibility in the incoming customer order that automatically recognizes that a sales quotation in status ‘Released’ exists for this customer / part no combination? Ideally we would connect the sales quotation line to the customer order line by choice.

Anyone seen this requirement before?

Hi @12gKoenkS ,

Just an idea, why cant you receive the customer approval EDI message as incoming change request for customer order instead of incoming customer order. Here you use the message type as Quotation and order no will be your quotation no. Then you can have a simple custom event to convert sales quotation to customer order once the message is approved.

IFS standard incoming message support sales quotation as well.

Dear @12gKoenkS

there's no such flag in the standard IFS. However, you can create your own custom fields on the screen Incoming Customer Order.
