Hi Community,

We would like to hide the Print Bill of Lading from RMB context menu on the shipment screen but retain the ability to use the Shipment Bill Of Lading report from a custom menu option.  The reason we are trying to do this is because we’ve developed a bill of lading report that include everything within one report including hazmat information.  The built in RMB Print Bill of Lading context menu always brings up Shipment Bill of Lading and Goods Declaration ADR.  The linkage to the reports seems to be within the RMB context menu Print Bill of Lading.   If we could remove the link between Shipment Bill of Lading and Goods Declaration ADR that would be ideal because we wouldn’t need a custom menu.

Thank you,

William Klotz

I submitted this same issue to IFS R&D for another customer, R&D’s response is below.

Issue: When a user prints a bill of lading for the shipment, they are presented with the Goods Declaration ADR option.  Is there a way to disable this report from printing automatically?

Per R&D, “sorry to inform that there is no option provide to disable printing Goods Declaration ADR Report. This is controlled through the connection on the part catalog with Dangerous Goods Classification.

Which means that, If Shipment contains any of the line which has part catalog record connect to Dangerous Goods Classification then Goods Declaration ADR Report will be printed. IFS application is designed to behave so.

You may have to create an Idea Wall request for enable the possibility of disabling printing of  Goods Declaration ADR Report since such functionality development not be able to support in support phase.

That said, if you want the report disabled a modification would be required."

I submitted on the IFS IDEA WALL: Request to disable printing Goods Declaration ADR Report, when Dangerous Goods Classification is entered on the part catalog

We did something similar to this.

RMB from shipment header, then click advanced next to menu configuration.

Then uncheck the “print bill of lading” checkbox.

Once that is done, just create a new menu item for the custom report that you’ve created.

It worked for us, but we don’t have a Good Declaration ADR report.
