Our entire business is set up as one inventory part set to Cost Per Configuration.  Over the years, we now have 50,000+ configurations IDs on that one inventory part.  How can I calculate and save standard cost?  I know I can do it one-by-one using Interim Orders or Shop Orders, but I need a systemic solution for all 50,000.  I’m looking for something similar to ‘All Parts Cost Calculation’.  Any help would be appreciated!

Hi all,

I am also interested for this thread.

@SarahEk Did you have any feedback ?

Thanks.

Bump again, is there a solution for this?

In addition, if the settings are Standard cost as valuation and cost per configuration as inventory part cost level: How can we in retrospective see which were the actual costs of our configurable parts per configuration?

Hi Both - I’ve sent this to a few employees to investigate. I’ll let you know if this needs to go to support or if I can find some insight.

I talked to numerous IFS employees and experts at IFS World back in October 2022 on this.  They agreed that IFS does not currently have a systemic solution for this.  We are currently in IFS10, but I don’t think Cloud has anything either best I can tell.  IFS experts proposed a plan to create a master list of interim orders for each configuration ID and to use those interim orders for annual cost rolls.  I have not tested this proposed solution yet.  I will post more here once I do.

First Employee:  Since we have historically run all our standard costs through shop orders, the only place I can see actual costs on our configurable parts per configuration is through Actual Cost Details on shop order costs.
