IFS Cloud Excel Add-in not working after Excel update
We are on IFS Cloud 25.1.2. Microsoft just forced updated Office to 2507 (19029.20136) which broke our IFS Excel add-ins. Users that stayed on 2506 are still OK.
Issue is, when you click login, the add-in panel briefly flashes and does not bring up the login window for IFS cloud.
Anyone else have this issue?

We are experiencing the same issue. An update to IFS is required promptly.
Yes. Seems like an Compatibility issue:
This is resolved in 24R2 SU7
Hi @japauk,
Where did you get this information?
Thank you for your feedback.
Hi @japauk,
We are facing the same issue in 24R2 SU7.
Issue resolved by reverting to office 2506 update. Executed following command as an admin in “cmd” program:
cd "\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun"
officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.18925.20184
Another workaround is to use Excel in a browser. You’ll need to set-up the add-in again but it works.
@aluthra1 ,
Thank you very much, this has helped tremendously, and really should be made part of the Technical documentation by IFS since Excel and Microsoft updates are very frequent which is quite a high likelihood that future updates will break the addon again.
You have saved my bacon! Cheers!
Does anybody knows which update this will be resolved?
Does anybody knows which update this will be resolved?
Juuuuuust got notification from Support that they are (again) planning to implement fix on 25R2.GA
On my personal opinion it is just unacceptable, this should be implemented to all supported versions in next service update.
I had to roll back to pre-2507 version of Excel to get this to work as well.
Be sure to Disable updates in Excel or you will just get updated in a day or two.

I would agree. Any insight if the fix will be in the aligned service updates in the prior releases (25R1 SU7?, 24R2 SU13?) ?
There is another solution: use Excel Web. Simply reinstall the manifest in this application, and it will work.

On my personal opinion too, this should be implemented to all supported versions in next service update.
We have the same issue on 24R2 SU2.
Downgrading office or office web is not a viable solution for us. This should be released as a emergency fix that don’t require extensive testing and solves the problem until a update is released.
So what you are saying is that even if we follow the IFS Evergreen model we will still not get a solution until 25R2 is released in October?
I hope this is released as a hotfix for the desktop version for all supported versions soon as well. The excel web app is a poor replacement option
Hi Guys,
We are evergreen too (25R1), and it is not the first time we have this kind of problem. It must have at least an information at IFS support portal critical issue. We did found the workaround (excel web) from the begin, waiting for a solution in a near version but, what a joke IFS is becoming. The funny thing is attending the IFS connect and Unleash and they talking about IFS AI. Oh my gosh.
Good Morning!
I was a bit frustrated earlier and gave support team quite pressure on escalation (Sorry for that ) - because not all has option to use downgraded or web version in long-term when waiting actual production implementation of 25R2 (in real life that would be somewhere around 25R2SU5->). I also spoke in behalf of whole community and you guys when creating the escalation.
That paid of and just received notification from support that:
