Hello,

In IFS Apps 10, when using the Receive Inventory Part screen, we’re seeing a popup to Define Cost Structure for only certain parts. In that popup, we're required to enter the Cost Bucket ID and Cost/Unit.

We’d like this popup to appear for all parts. Is there a setting we need to change to enable this for the parts that currently don’t trigger it? If so, what is the setting, and where can we find it?

HI,

Define cost structure dialogue appears when the first receipt is done for all parts if such parts don't have any Inventory cost/Estimated cost defined. But the Standard-cost part and the cost level is Cost Per Part then this dialog appears only the first receipt is done if such parts have any Inventory cost/Estimated cost defined, then next receive into inventory, this dialogue does not appear. Although the standard-cost part and all other cost levels except the Cost Per Part, then this dialogue will always appear to enter cost structure information.

Especially when the actual cost part is received into inventory, this dialogue will always appear to enter cost structure information. Weighted Average, FIFO, and LIFO included.

Note: When the Define Cost Structure dialog box opens up, to get the suggested cost structure displayed by default, you must not have selected the Get Cost Detail Defaults Manually check box on the Site/Extended Site Info/Inventory tab.
