I’ve been coming across a very strange issue related to MRP in IFS Cloud. It seems I can’t get MRP to create Purchase Reqs.

Below is my IP Planning Data

I have also defined a supplier for purchase part:

In Availability I can see I have demand for this part from a shop order (MRP Make):

I run the MRP for the site. It completes OK, no errors. This is how MRP Part Info looks like:

And in the end there is no Purchase Req created:

Is it possible that MRP is buggy in IFS Cloud? OR did I miss some setup?

What are the MRP Action Proposals for this component part?

Hi @matt.watters

I have a need orders message. Normally at this stage the Purchase Requisition line should have been created. Wondering if it’s an IFS Cloud problem?

But when I do FollowUp it takes me to a blank Pur Req screen:

@Anyone?

@BeaMarceA , just a hunch, could you check the Part Status of this “RO..” part ?
Verify whether the Supplies are Allowed for that particular part status.

@Tharindu Illangasinghe  part status is Active → Supplies Allowed, so this shouldn’t be the problem.

To me it seems strange that such a vital functionality wouldn’t be working in IFS Cloud.

@matt.watters / @Tharindu Illangasinghe I finally managed to solve this one. Not sure how I could have missed this one so badly.

It turns out I never checked the MRP background job status. It seems the MRP job errored out while trying to create the Purchase Requisition due to missing Tax Code at supplier address level.

Error generating Purchase Req. Site/Part/ABC Class R0101/RO2065/C. Due date/Qty -. Original error ORA-20110: TaxHandlingUtil.SUP_TAX_MANDATORY: A Tax Code is required when supplier tax validation has Transaction Level selected on Company, Tax Control tab..
