Inventory Part Availability Planning (IPAP) - Due Date Discrepancy Problems
Hi Community,
Is there anything that can be implemented in IFS to prevent IPAP due dates being updated when a PO is registered as arrived?
When Pre-registering arrival/pre-receipt of order for P1079950, the Due date in IPAP shows as 31/12/2024 which is also reflected in the PO screen and is the correct due date, as the two images shown here
The action of registering an arrival of a raw material PO is somehow adding on false additional days (date of receipt (05/11/24) minus planned arrival date (13/10/24) that is 23 days) to the IPAP due date (31/12/2024 + 23 = 23/01/2025) which giving the buyers incorrect information when managing their stocks and ensuring they have raw material to meet demand.
But the PO screen still showing correct planned receipt date 31/12/2024.
Best regards,
Jason

Hi,
It would be useful to see app PO line dates before and after arrival registration, if possible.
Thanks
@BEYJASONCHAN I guess this is happening because you have setup some Transport Time in Supply Chain Matrix. Please check you SupplY Chain Matrix per Site / Supplier and see if somthing is setup there.
See my example below:
→ 2 PO lines with Planned Receipt date 27.11 and 28.11 → before registering arrival those were the due dates in IPAP as well
→ Then I setup transport and Internal Transport time:
→ Then I regisetr Arrival and my due dates are pushed in the IPAP according to the extra lead times I added in the Supply Chain MAtrix:
Hi @Marcel.Ausan,
Thanks for sharing.
The raw material originated from the supplier 10798, and was delivered to the site 2106. when I reviewed the Supply Chain Matrix for site/supplier (we’re still using APP10 so the interface differs to yours), it appears that nothing has been setup over there.
Its really puzzling how an additional 23 days was added to the IPAP due date after arrival registration.
Hi @AsankaGaru,
unfortunately, I didn’t capture a screen shot of the entire po line, just able to see the Bill of Lading & Planned Receipt Date, but there doesn’t seem to be any different before and after the arrival registration.
Thanks
Hi,
It could be that your supplier for purchase part has an inspection lead time defined like below.
if so, after registering arrival (to inspect at arrival or at a QA based on how your company works) it is correct that IPAP adds 23 days to the date of receipt to calculate the new ‘due date’.
This is because due date in IPAP is the date the material are ready to be used, and it cannot be the arrival date as you have anticipated, if you have inspection.
--------
Due Date The date the supply or demand is planned to take place. This date is adjusted for lead times, e.g., the date refers to when a purchase order will be available in stock, considering purchase lead times, or when a customer order has to be picked to fulfill a delivery promise considering picking lead time, and delivery lead time.
-------
(If you view your purchase order line dates before arrival too, you would see planned arrival date is something different than the planned receipt date. Field descriptions for the dates in PO line will explain you how these calculations are happening.)
