Hi all,

Is there anyone who can explain what the “Order Country” is in relation to Export Control?

Is that the Country where the (purchasing) Site is connected to, or is this the Country where the goods are to be delivered to (Delivery location)?

And the same relating to the Customer Country in Find and Connect Export License. Is this to be seen as the connected country of the Site purchasing an item, or is this where the goods are to be delivered?

Hi @Arend

Order Country
The order/site country allowed to use the record. The order country is identified via the site country to which an order site is connected. It is possible to add or remove countries by right-clicking and clicking Order Countries on the Export Control Basic Data/Classification Scheme tab.

Customer Country:
A value that Find and Connect will use to match an export license.

HI @Arend, according to my knowledge:

  • Order Country - these are the sites (countries) where you can use this part as an export-controlled part.
  • Customer Country in Find and Connect Export License: When you enter a country here, the application will check the export licenses where this country has been entered as a valid customer country. And then this export license (if matching with all other entered parameters in the Find and Connect Export License screen) will be connected to the part.

Thanks.
