We are performing MRP. During MRP run we have considered specific customer order lines and their schedule in MRP run by un checking Release for Material planning flag.
After MRP RUN we have found that Purchase requisitions of Raw material were generated for those parts which were not included as a schedule in customer order line.
when we checked the reason then found that some shop orders of of the parent parts of this raw material were in Release state and not completed issued or completed received or in closed state.
That’s why these purchase requisitions generated.
Is there any option to to exclude open shop order requirement for parts which we dont want to consider during MRP run in IFS APPS 8.

Hi @Deepak ,
You can change those shop order status to Parked status with a relevant Park Reason before performing the MRP run. According to your requirement, the Park reason should have the “Include Mtrl Requirements as Demand” check box cleared. But, you have to also clear the “Include as Supply” checkbox also. So, you can exclude the shop order material from considering as demands in MRP as above, but you have to exclude those shop orders from considering as supply at the same time.
If you are running the MRP as a scheduled job, it is better to create a database task to change the required shop orders’ status to Parked with suitable conditions to select only the required shop orders, and schedule it to be run before the MRP.
Thank you and Best Regards
@ThushAsanka Sir,
In IFS APPS 8 we are not having Parked option.
Hi @Deepak,
Since you are in APP8 track you will not get the additional options that we have in later versions (like APP10). You can Park the Shop Order by RMB on the Shop Order header > Park. But this will prevent you from further processing of the shop order (i.e., users will not be able to work on the particular shop order any more). So, I’m not sure how suitable that will be for you; just because you want MRP to avoid planning for these Shop Orders are you will to lock them in a state that production too cannot work on them ?
However, there is an extension to APP8 track called Manufacturing Enhancement Pack (MEP). If you obtain that you will get to see the options that are mentioned above.
Finally, I think you will have to go for a customization to address your requirement.
