Hi Guys

So my user made a Project Connection via the PO line and the PO is authorized and released. Now he wants to change the Project connection. Usually after releasing the PO, changing the project connection is not allowed. Then I tried using a POCO and strangely enough, POCO doesn't have the option to change project connection either. Is this correct? IFS version 24.1.1.

Thanks,
Asela

Hi @Asela Munasinghe ,

The Project Connections command will be disabled when the ‘Enforce Use of Purchase Order Change Orders option is enabled’ on the Sites/Sales tab and on the Procurement tab, and any changes to the project connections need to be done through the purchase order line.

Can you check that option?

regards,

Piyal

Hi @Piyal Perera

I am getting the following error when I try to do that. So what would be the option for this PO?

Do you recommend revoking authorizations and bringing back the PO to the planned status?

Thanks,
Asela

Hi @Asela Munasinghe

Yes. I do think you have to try that in your test environment.

Hi @Piyal Perera

I tried already, it is not possible to bring the PO back to the planned state even after revoking approvals. So I would cancel this PO and go through a new PO.

Thanks,
Asela

Hi @Asela Munasinghe,

I checked in 24R2 and there also you can’t change the Project Connection once the PO is Released.

If the user wants to connect this PO Line to a different Activity in the same Project then a POCO can be used. In the POCO, cancel the existing PO Line. Then, duplicate the PO Line in the POCO and connect to the correct Activity. With this you get to keep the same PO rather than creating a new PO.
