Hi,

is it possible to display a read-only field in the Item Form which shows the information that is stored in supplier master data (e.g. Remarks field)?

Hello @mdezotti,

Reading your question got me thinking, this is something we've also been wondering about.

To me, it sounds like you want to display some related resource’s field values directly on the Item Form page for ease of access, so IT users can see more relevant information without having to open a separate resource and deal with all the related load times. Is that correct?

What you're describing reminds me a lot of Extended Keyword Notation, where you can pull in data like supplier remarks using something like ($new.event.itemA.supplier.remarks), at least when you're working within an action template during case management or event creation. However, since this is about an Item Form, I'm not sure if that kind of referencing is supported. I’ve been unable to get either Extended Keyword Notation or VTL to work this way when testing them in captions in 24R2.

If it is possible, I’d really like to know how! It would make key information much more accessible and could save our IT users a lot of clicks and time spent waiting time throughout the day.

Would love to hear if anyone has found a good workaround or solution for this!
