  1. How to create tool/eqp for use checked in and checked out functionality
  2. What is the functionality for check out status
  3. How to use this functionality in work orders
  4. What is the meaning of checked out and checked in for a tool

Hello ​@TLAKLK  the below are prerequisites to Tool Check Out/In capability.

Prerequisites

  • Tool and Equipment group should be used in Maintenance.
  • Tool and Equipment group should have enabled Tool Tracking.
  • Check out status of the tool and equipment should be Checked In.
  • If the tool and Equipment has a serial object connection, connected part serial should be in Operational condition.

How can I enable the tool tracking option in the resource group is connect to the tool/equipment? Is it available when creating a tool group?

You can enable check in checkout from the resource group, Check the below screenshot

Group should have the “Track Check Out/In” selected

 


Hi Asitha,

 

I was able to create tool group with check in status. When I try to check out the tool system asking  credentials. Could you please share this credentials if you know? Product release is 24R1.

this is because the security checkpoints are enabled. you can either set a pin code for your user from 
 

 
Or deactivate security checkpoints for tool check in checkout from below

 


or disable the security checkpoints globally in your environment from system parameters
