There are no categorization for Pump, Motor, Cable, etc. Based upon the nature, behavior, business usage you have to categories them under one category. In generic scenario, the movability or the frequency of changing the parent object will be the base for categorization, incase your object frequently changing it’s parent (moving) you can categories it as a serial object & otherwise as a functional object.
