Hi,

We are fairly new to IFS and still learning. We now have some of our equipment’s that have been disposed off. The Finance Team have processed them to remove from the Service Contracts and Fixed Assets but we are wanting to confirm the best way to remove the Serial Objects.

Do we scrap them to remove from Inventory or is there a better Disposal Process to follow to correctly remove these assets as Live Assets in Inventory.

The existing disposal process need to follow the below steps,

  1. Scrap the Assets by making it non operational (in this case , Serial Equipment )
  2. Move them into Inventory.
  3. Either Scrap the quantity or use any Relocation options there.

If this is a one time job, we could opt to automate the above 3 steps using a custom event/BPA design.
