Hello,

I’ve created a custom reference field in the Functional Objects screen in IFS Cloud 23R2. The LOV linked to the custom field is ‘EquipmentFunctional’. I’m able to add the custom field to the screen and values are populated as expected from the LOV.

But when I click on the data (since it is an hyperlink), it does not navigate to the respective functional object record. Using the Page Designer:

  1. If we leave the custom field as ‘Editable’, when we click on the data, the screen just refreshes and stays on the existing functional object screen and does nothing.
  2. If we leave the field as ‘Read-Only’, it opens a new window and redirects to the functional object screen but does not display the relevant record to be viewed. For example: it needs to display the functional object ‘01010170’.

I would like the reference field to be editable and should be able to navigate to the respective functional object record. What am I missing in this process? Please let me know.

This is a known limitation. Custom field hyperlink opens the desitation screen only.

Hi ​@Abdul , thank you. Yes I’ve seen these posts but these are in IFS Apps. Wondering if this issue was resolved in IFS Cloud latest version.

HI ​@Priyanka Cecilia V, I checked in the latest release 25R1, however, still no improvement for this requirement. 

Multiple ideas have already been submitted to R&D. Let’s hope for a resolution with future release.
